In the land of “soppressata” and muraleses: GIOI and PIANO VETRALE

An itinerary to the discovery of a gastronomic product of excellence, the "soppressata" of Gioi: a bagged of pig meat, garrison Slow Food, totally constituted by a thin rather elegant stuffing, bringing centrally a tape of lard.
For its production ham is exclusively used, husked of all the cartilages and of the nervettis.
They mix it, seasoned with salt and pepper, manually modeled, and introduced in natural gut.
After having visited a laboratory of handicraft production and to have tasted the good "soppressata", we will move to Piano Vetrale.
Particularly characteristic village, it is known as country of the Muraleses (Mural), enormous and splendid paintings that adorn the external of the houses, some, also realized on ancient front doors.
Ploughed by a myriad of alleys, often connected by long archs, the country. introduces narrow lanes, paved by flints, whose stones, smoothed by the life of generations of farmers, could dictate rivers of histories.

TIMING

• 9.30 a.m.:
  participants' meeting in the Chili square in front of the House of the Mayor. Departure for Gioi Cilento on a great tourism bus. Visit of the village and a laboratory of handicraft production of "soppressata".
• 1 p.m.:
  lunch in restaurant tasting typical products of the territory.
• 3 p.m:
  departure for Piano Vetrale and visit of the village and its Muraleses.
• 5.30 p.m. :
  reentry.
