Discovering PADULA

Discovering the ancient medieval village of Padula, castled on the high ground that lean out on the Vallo of Diano.
 We will visit the Chartreuse of St. Lawrence, the greatest Chartreuse in Italy and among the most important of Europe, declared patrimony of the humanity UNESCO; the Baptistery of Saint John in Sources, the only one to the world to use the baptismal water directly drawing from the source on which it rises; and the house - museum of the famous policeman Joy Petrosino, killed by mafia in Palermo on 12nd March, 1909.

TIMING:

  • 10 a.m.:
    departure from Agropoli in bus GT (the participants' meeting is in Chili Square)
  • 11 a.m.:
    arrival to Padula, visit of the village and of the house - museum of Joy Petrosino.
  • 1 p.m.:
    lunch in restaurant tasting typical products of the territory.
  • 3 p.m.:
    Visit of the Chartreuse of St. Lawrence.
  • 5 p.m.:
    Visit of the baptistery of St. John in Sources.
  • 6.30/7 p.m.:
    reentry.
