Molpa

It was a small village that lies on a promontory between the mouths of two rivers, Lambro and Mingardo, about 1 km from Palinuro and at a short distance from the towns of Centola and Pisciotta.

In time suffered repeated assaults and destruction, despite the strategic position that was supposed to protect from enemy incursions.

At dawn on 11 June 1464 in fact, the pirates Saracens razed scattering those who were taken as slaves to neighboring countries of the hinterland.

Today remains the memory and breathtaking scenery as only one of Cilento can be.
