The palio of wheat is an event that actually manages to bring the participants to the life and work of the farmer. Is preceded by the "wheat fields", six days of activities in which we are seeing debates on various topics related to the land and its cultivation but also in broader contexts such as agriculture and industry innovations. Also they organize races, practice sessions and comparisons surrounded by bales of hay.
In the day of the palio you find yourself in the square and as first activity, are drawn the tracks to race.
After the race continues with the traditional "pisatura" oxen, games around the tree of plenty, the communal dining, the draw of the lottery and finally the awards.
