The town is very devoted to St. Michael and celebrates with a rich and heartfelt religious program, supported by an engaging civil program. Actually the celebrations in honor of the patron Saint begin on may 8, when the statue of St. Michael is carried in procession to the sanctuary mountain where he remained until september 27, the day when he returned to the city. Every year this event attracts many people.
