Discovering lucanis, rimembering Dragut: ROCCAGLORIOSA and TORRE ORSAIA

A dive in the hinterland of Cilento, to discovery the archaeological area of Roccagloriosa where the ancient Lucanis relive with the princess Fistelia that stirs in the Antiquarium among the reliquaries that contain jewels of thin invoice.
Absolutely characteristic its historical center with the rests of boundaries that speak of a castle built by Bulgarian soldiers.
From Roccagloriosa to Torre Orsaia whose origins make go up again to the XI century when, the pirates' raids, the malaria and the destruction of Policastro operated by Roberto the Guiscardo pushed the coastal populations to move toward more inside zones of the territory.
As Roccagloriosa, also this suburb was attacked by the Turkish pirate Dragut who, in 1552, practised lootings, devastations and killings in the whole area.

TIMING:

• 9.30 a.m.:
  Participants' meeting in the Chili square in front of the House of the Mayor. Departure for Roccagloriosa on a great tourism bus. Visit of the village, the archaeological area and Museum.
• 1 p.m.:
  Lunch in restaurant tasting typical products of the territory.
• 3 p.m.:
  Departure for Torre Orsaia and visit of the village.
• 5.30 p.m.:
  Reentry.
