Laurino is a characteristic cilentan village that, from the top of a hill, to 531 of altitude, dominates on the whole surrounding landscape.
During the centuries the ancient populations have left valuable testimonies of their passage, as they remember us the two stupendous medieval bridges to back of donkey, the ruins of the castle, the frescos and various graven works in wood of the Collegiate one of Saint Maria Maggiore.
At the beginning of August in the village a musical demonstration develops devoted to the jazz with Italian musicians and foreigners of international importance.
The concerts develop inside the ancient boundaries of the Ducal Building (sec VIII) and in the cloister of the Monastery of Saint Antonio (sec XVI).
