All the colors of Alburnus: CASTELCIVITA Caves and CONTRONE

A jump in the Alburnus to discover two excellences of the territory: a naturalistic one, represented by the famous Caves of Castelcivita, and the other gastronomic represented by the dainty beans of Controne.
Controne is a country set in a splendid frame of fields that push up to the slopes of the thick of the Alburnus that overhangs the small inhabited center.
And it is the rock, a stratification rich in carbonate not very deep that is stretched under the grounds of the suburb, that has produced fresh and fertile grounds and given typical bean one of their most famous qualities: thin peel and facility of cooking.
The same carsic nature of the zone has produced during the millennia one of the complex speleologicis wider than Italy: the Caves of Castelcivita that, with theirs 1.200 meters tourist run on a total of around 5.000, represent an unique show.

TIMING:

• 10 a.m.:
  participants' meeting in the Chili square in front of the House of the Mayor. Departure for Alburnus Mountain on a great tourism bus. Visit of the Caves of Castelcivita.
• 1 p.m.:
  Departure for Controne.
• 1.30 p.m.:
  lunch in restaurant tasting typical products of the territory.
• 3. p.m:
  Visit of the villages of Controne.
• 4 p.m.:
  reentry
